•	Be clear – why use lots of big words when fewer, shorter ones do the job?
•	Consider your audience – are they really going to get the message clearly?
•	Avoid excess use of jargon – unless you are only targeting an audience that will be familiar with it.
•	Ensure that the content is up to date and accurate.
•	Don't rely solely on the spell-checker.
•	Use a good dictionary in conjunction with a spell-checker.
•	Check spacing, fonts, headings, abbreviations and tense (past/present) for consistency.
